Do You Know Yourself?

Image
Okay so first of all let me tell you, this is not some deep wisdom blog asking you to dive deep within & find your true purpose or your true self! This is just me, sharing my experience, of how I got to know myself better, know what's really going on within me! This is out of my comfort zone to openly admit on the internet that I have been seeing a therapist for a while as most people see it as taboo. But that is what Therapy does to you, gives you the confidence to be yourself. But what else happens when you start knowing & especially start understanding yourself better? YOU HEAL. I had a lot of self-doubt & PTSD, that I simply suppressed within, something that was hurting me. I was not healing from that pain simply because I was not aware of the root cause. I knew all the practical steps it takes to move forward & let it go, but I was not able to actually do it, because I was working on healing the symptoms instead of the Cause.  That is where my Therapist h...

The Promise.

Day after day, months after months, we keep promising ourselves that we will change, we will improve, we will be the best version of ourselves, the one that we want to be, the one we desire. Most of us would do the latter, if our friend, sibling, partner, or colleague would be struggling in life, we would always be there for them, to support them, to encourage them. Then why do we fail to do that when it comes to ourselves? Why do we beco...

Why Do We Settle For Less Then What We Deserve?

Image
More often than not, we find ourselves in life, settling & compromising. Even if what we have is pretty good and people around us who have less than what we do, keep on telling us how lucky we are, but only in our hearts do we know the Truth, Our Truth! Unhappiness never comes from failing to achieve our goals, but instead from not having what we DESERVE! If your heart knows that you deserve to earn a certain amount of money, or be popular, or have a successful career or be with the love of your life, anything less than that feels like a compromise!  So if we know what we want & deserve then why do we settle for less? Well it could be for several reasons but the biggest of them is FEAR. Fear of losing what we already have, Fear of failing to get what we want, Fear of not being good enough, Fear of getting out of our comfort zone, so on & so on... Self doubt & sometimes being overwhelmed by the circumstances forces us to cling to whatever we got (remember thos...
